ARMY SGT WOLF

Our first Lady Honoree of the Month:

Army SGT Eduviges G. Wolf

From a young age, Eduviges Wolf was always a responsible and focused woman. In the summer of 2009, she and her husband, Army SGT Josh Wolf, were both deployed to Afghanistan.

Despite any challenges she faced, she was passionate about her career in the military. Susie Martin, the Explorer Program Supervisor, said that "Everything about her was enthusiastic... If it was something fun, she was the first one to volunteer. If it was something nobody wanted to do, she was still the first one to volunteer."

Wolf shared that her time in Afghanistan was fulfilling for her, and even re-enlisted for another three years. Sadly, in October of 2009 (three weeks after she had re-enlisted), she was killed in action.

During her time in the military, Wolf not only excelled at her position but also created lasting bonds with her fellow soldiers. Eduviges Wolf inspires us all to live life every day with dedication and enthusiasm. She is an honorable veteran and is deeply missed by all of her friends, family, and country.

Speaking for myself, and every one else that had the opportunity to serve with Wolf, she was a joy of a human and a light who shined in every task and everything she did. What an honor it was to be able to serve with her.

We salute you today and everyday.
