Hello, my name is Ashley Rokosz, and I am the owner of Combat Lady Apparel. My first duty station was with the 704th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado. I was deployed within two months of arriving at Fort Carson to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, in support of the 4th Infantry Division. My time spent in Afghanistan was an experience that shaped and changed the course of my life, creating bonds, memories, and friendships that will stay with me forever.

Two women in military camouflage uniforms are practicing martial arts or self-defense techniques on a black mat, with one woman standing and gripping the other woman who is lying on the mat.

While in Garrison, I was able to pursue my passion for combatives through the Modern Army Combative Program. A few years into my service, I received permanent change of station orders to Fort Benning, where I was assigned to special duty to continue my combative training and competition.

In 2011, I was the number two flyweight at Fort Carson and the number one flyweight at Fort Benning, as well as being the only female in the male-dominated flyweight category. This was an incredible accomplishment, especially due to the fact that not many women advanced beyond Level 1 combative, let alone get to represent their unit at competitions.

Combat Lady Apparel was started with the goal of empowering more women to be able to show off their military accolades with pride and encourage every woman to embrace the fighter inside.
